About Glen Barton

I am a qualified Social Worker (BSW) and a registered member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), providing therapeutic counselling and advocacy services through my practice, TribeWell. I have experience working across the mental health, veteran, youth, and disability sectors.

My background includes frontline work in community development, mental health outreach, child protection, and veteran wellbeing programs. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families facing a wide range of challenges including trauma, PTSD, moral injury, family breakdown, grief and loss, chronic stress, and identity issues.

While I have specialist experience supporting veterans, high-risk youth, and people navigating the NDIS, I welcome people from all backgrounds. My practice is inclusive, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ friendly. I value cultural humility and respect the lived experiences of all people, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and those from migrant and refugee backgrounds.

I take a warm, grounded, and person-centred approach, drawing on evidence-based frameworks while holding space for each person’s unique story. My work is guided by the AASW Code of Ethics and a strong commitment to confidentiality, respect, and genuine connection. and inclusive environment for all clients.
